Lions International Zone IX Hosts Successful Zonal Conference ‘Mission 1.5’
Ambar Bhattacharya, Takmaa News, Kolkata, 19th Jan 2025 : Lions International District 322B1 hosted a grand and impactful Zonal Conference, themed ‘Mission 1.5’, on January 17 at Haldiram Banquets, Ballygunge. The event saw enthusiastic participation from prominent Lions Clubs under Zone IX, including Calcutta Greater, Calcutta Quest, Calcutta Midtown, Kolkata Friends, Kolkata Altruist, and Kolkata Vivekbani.
The conference began at 6:30 PM with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and a welcome address by Zone Chairperson Ravindra Banthia. The evening was graced by distinguished personalities such as Preeti Kapoor (IZC), Suraj Bagla (Past District Governor), and Manisha Agarwal (Immediate Past District Governor), who contributed their invaluable insights to the discussions.
The theme, ‘Mission 1.5,’ emphasized innovative strategies for community service, collaboration among clubs, and setting goals for the ongoing Lions Year 2024-25. Speaking on the occasion, Zone Chairperson Ravindra Banthia highlighted the importance of collective efforts in achieving the Lions’ mission of service.
