Loved to play football. But an accident took the game away from me and changed to music : Mainak
Ambar Bhattacharya, abptakmaa, Kolkata, 28th Sept 2019 : A boy from Kharagpur with dreams of football never thought of becoming a singer. Mainak Paladhi, a folk singer has a raging voice demanding its own space in the music industry. Being from a sub-urban area exposure has been a difficult thing to cope up with but as talent never dies unsung it is the sheer quality of his voice that people have always want him to be listened.
“When I was a kid I loved and played football. But an accident took the game away from. It was my sister who learnt music. I took informal taleem at home and formal classical taleem from Late Kamal Choudhury. Destiny wanted me to be a singer.” says singer Mainak.
Mainak worked with Cosmic Harmony and Sagarika Music with whom he recorded ‘Bhitor Bahire’ music album that has spread far and wide in the hearts of music lover. The singer has visited many states to present his songs, and this Pujo too he will perform at Pune and Mumbai.
He has performed at many places of India – Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Delhi, Jharkhand, Nagpur, Bilaspur, and Siliguri, etc. He has participated three times in Bangla Sangeet Mela, Yuba Mela, Sabola Mela, Uttorbongo Utsab. This Puja he is performing at Navi Mumbai and Pune.
