News Correspondent, abptakmaa, Kolkata, 29th Nov 2020 : Meghdut Roy chowdhury takes over as the Chairperson, the Entrepreneurs’ Committee at The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCC&I) for the year 2020-2021.
Meghdut Roy Chowdhury, Director, Global Operations, Techno India Group becomes the Chairperson of the Entrepreneurs’ Committee at The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCC&I) with the aim of putting future of this country at the forefront for entrepreneurship development. With his massive commitment and investment into the ecosystem development for start-ups, small and medium business apart from his philanthropic approach, Meghdut Roy Choudhury wants to address following as a chairperson:
1. Utilization of Technology to boost the efficiency of problem-solving in multiple sectors.
2. Addressing Social and Climate Change.
3. And a dream to help local businesses move closer to digital transformation in the post pandemic world
Meghdut Roy Cowdhury had already shown that he inherited the entrepreneurship DNA at an early stage. At 19, he founded his first venture in Kolkata, BlooperHouse Studios, a music recording studio that he thought would bridge the lack of high-end facilities for local independent artists to shine out – and rightly so. When he came back from his foreign prologue, Meghdut wasted no time in adding tremendous value to Techno India Group by kickstarting Technopreneurs’ Surrogate Ventures, which offers Eastern India’s budding entrepreneurs its first mentorship-driven incubation programme. In doing so TSVPL have already pre-incubated 300+ Startups and Meghdut himself have personally mentored 100s of startup entrepreneurs from across 40+ institutions.
With a Rich experience of closely working with start-ups from US, Middle East and Europe, Meghdut now aims to bring international startup and business to Indian Market and to Bengal to help with the evolution of the startup ecosystem by generating local employment. TSVPL already has 3 international start-ups onboard and ready to set office in Bengal.
In the beginning of 2018, he initiated another venture, Offbeat CCU, Kolkata’s first integrated experiential learning hub, an 8-storey building combining facilities for education, entertainment, and hospitality under the same roof. Through this venture, Meghdut is trying to redefine the Future of Education by focusing on curiosity and interdisciplinarity.
Recently, in 2020, under his father’s leadership, Meghdut and his team inaugurated the Future-Proof Labs, Techno India’s Open Innovation arm in order to unleash daring innovation at the regional level. Continuing on his innovation-bound journey, Meghdut will be one of the executive heads of the first AICTE-accredited MBA in Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Venture Development launched under Techno India University, West Bengal for the academic year 2020-2021.
