To navigate away from this rapidly evolving situation quality laboratory testing is absolutely critical. And as the Government summons private players to counter the issue, we consider it to be our primary responsibility to stand by the government and citizens of India in the combat against COVID 19. We feel honoured that ICMR has chosen two SRL clinical reference labs, based at Mumbai and Gurgaon, to conduct these tests and we intend to leave no stones unturned to further strengthen the diagnosis and help prevent propagation of this disease in our country. We have initiated testing, but currently there is a shortage situation for approved commercial kits for testing and PPE for sample collection, and we are trying our level best to bring the supply situation to match possible demand. We remain committed to follow strict testing protocol laid down by ICMR and MoH&FW, and to protect the wellbeing of our brave and selfless frontline soldiers by providing them protective gears while taking samples.
