Santhali actress Birhaba and Tolly actress Sayantika joins TMC

Ambar Bhattacharya, abptakmaa, Kolkata, 3rd Mar 2021 : Today the All India Trinamool Congress was pleased to announce that eminent personalities Birbaha Hansda, Sayantika Banerjee, and Dr. Sandip Kumar Paul joined the party in the presence of Shri Subrata Mukherjee, Minister of Panchayat & Rural Development, West Bengal, Shri Partha Chatterjee, Secretary General, West Bengal Trinamool Congress, Shri Bratya Basu, West Bengal Minister in-charge of Science, Technology & Bio-technology, today.

Birbaha Hansda: Birbaha is a well-known Santhali actress. She had contested the 2019 Lok Sabha elections from Jharkhand Party (Naren) as well. Birbaha Hansda’s father is Naren Hansda who was the founder of Jharkhand Party (Naren) and mother Chunibala Hansda is also a famous politician.

After joining the party Birbaha Hansda said, “I was working for people since long, however I was not getting a platform to increase my outreach. Today I have joined the party to increase my outreach and work for the people and help Didi in her fight”

Sayantika Banerjee: Sayantika is a famous actress from the Bengali film industry. She has acted in several films like Aawara, Sesh Thake Suru, Uma, Byomkesh Porbo, etc. “I was with didi and will always be with her. I want to serve the people,” Sayantika said.

Dr. Sandip Kumar Paul: Dr. Sandip is currently the Principal of City College. He was previously a professor of St. Xavier’s College and later became the Principal of Netaji Nagar College.

“I didn’t come here for any personal gains, I want the best for the country and Bengal.”
