INR. 24.90 Lac raised at the Tata Steel World 25K Kolkata by 30 NGOs
Ambar Bhattacharya, Takmaa News, Kolkata, 11th Dec 2024 : The citizens of Kolkata came together to uphold the ‘Spirit of Giving’ and celebrate #AamarKolkataShonarKolkata at the 9th edition of the world’s first World Athletics Gold Label 25K the Tata Steel Kolkata World 25K Kolkata. The philanthropy pillar of the event, along with Impact360 Foundation as its philanthropy partner, has consistently strengthened its charitable impact, providing a cause-neutral platform supporting a wide range of Sustainable Development Goals and empowering NGOs.
Apart from being the biggest participative sporting celebration the TSW 25K Kolkata has been striving to make a difference – where every individual, young philanthropist & corporate becomes a part of the larger social change.
To date, with the help of 30 NGOs, individual fundraisers, and 8 corporates, alongside thousands of donors have raised INR 24.90 Lac for charity at the Tata Steel World 25K Kolkata. Fundraising for this edition will continue till January 3rd, 2025. The platform has gathered support for a wide range of social causes such as Education, Healthcare, Environment, Livelihood, Elderly care, Gender rights, Animal Welfare.
Since 2014 the platform has enabled over 75+ NGOs working with various causes across the North East and East of India to raise INR 4.39 crores, positively impacting millions of lives.
