JD Institute of Fashion Technology participated in CII Gujarat EDUCON 2019

Desk Correspondent, abptakmaa, Kolkata, 10th Sept 2019 : Ms Akshra Dalal, Director, JD Institute of Fashion Technology was recently invited as one of the panelists at the CII Gujarat EDUCON 2019 held reently at Ahmedabad. The conference aimed at improving the quality and innovation in higher education. Shri Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, Hon’ble Education Minister, Government of Gujarat, and other industry players attended the conference.

The theme for this year’s conference was ‘Skill-Based Education to Generate Employability and Entrepreneurship’ in whichIndia’s top educationists discussed skill-based educational programmes and job-oriented skills that can make students employable. According to experts, vocational courses should be made mandatory in every institution. As the education sector in India is consistently evolving, the panelists debated the major concerned education in India.

Ms Akshra Dalal, Director, JD Institute of Fashion Technology, said: “In today’s version of education we can’t limit ourselves to the traditional methods of learning and confined sources of knowledge. We have to be proactive. Teaching and training institutions must upgrade their processes so that the students graduating from these institutions are confident of their abilities and can be gainfully employed.”

The participants also engaged in a discussion to develop a roadmap for skills-based education at all levels of education, starting from schools up to higher education. Publicity : Perfect Relation.
