Third edition of Iskule Bioscope started with the screening of Rituparno Ghosh’s Hirer Aangti (হীরের আংটি)
Ambar Bhattacharya, abptakmaa, Kolkata, 3rd july 2019: Mahadevi birla world academy’s principal Mrs. Anjana Saha officially announced the beginning of the third edition of Iskule Bioscope (ইস্কুরে বার ারস্কাপ). among the dignitaries present during the inaugural screening were Mr.S V Raman, president of Bichitra Pathshala, Prof. Subha Das Mollick, former co-ordination, department of mass communication, St. Xavier’s college, Mrs. Sharmishtha Bhattacharya, vice-president of Bichitra Pathshala, Mrs. Sreemati Ghosh, retired principal of Rishi Aurabinda Balika Vidyapith and Mr. Kaushik Chakraborty, director of the organising company, THE SAUCE brand communications.
In the welcome address, Mrs. Anjana Saha reiterated the significance of vernacular, which connects one to his or her roots. she wholeheartedly welcomed this initiative by THE SAUCE brand communications and wanted such activities to go round the year.
mr. S V Raman emphasised on the significance of movies as a tool for education. he said, “I represent here an organisation called Bichitra Pathshala, which aims at learning with moving images. moving images, or movies are a medium that generates entertainment, education and information at the same time. and today, when we’re all here to rediscover the charm of bengali language and culture, movies are the best medium.”
Mr. Kaushik Chakraborty said, “Iskule Bioscope (ইস্কুলে বায়স্কোপ) is fortunate enough to have its inauguration in the august presence of such luminaries. we’ve a really enthusiastic student audience here; and i’m sure they’re going to love the movie we’re going to screen now.”
after the inaugural day, Iskule Bioscope (ইস্কুলে বায়স্কোপ) has multiple screening sessions in the Heritage school, Modern High school for girls, La Martiniere school for boys, Loreto Day school (bowbazar), Indus Valley World school, Sakhawat Memorial Girls’ school, Gokhale Memorial Girls’ higher secondary school, Ashok Hall group of schools, Techno India Public school, St. Lawrence High school and many more.
The in-school screening will end on july 20, 2019 with the screening of monojder adbhut bari to the students of Rishi Aurabinda Balika Vidyapith.
