Mia by Tanishq reopens Kolkata store with new safety measures for customers
News Correspondent, abptakmaa, Kolkata, 13th June 2020 : Mia by Tanishq, one of India’s most fashionable jewellery brands has announced the reopening of its store in Kolkata with complete safety measures in place and in compliance with all government rules while reopening and running operations at the store.
With increased safety measures and processes, Mia will follow newer norms of shopping ensuring contact-less purchases, sanitizing stores and facilities, jewellery sanitizing, employee and customer health check while entering stores, social distancing and a host of virtual initiatives to ensure customers can shop online too with the virtual try and buy feature, assisted buying and a specially curated gifting page for customers with live chats.
Sharing views on reopening of stores, Ms. Shyamala Ramanan, Business Head, Mia said “Mia by Tanishq is a means for a woman to express herself and we want to partner her in this journey in the safest manner possible. Safety and hygiene are paramount and the retail experience within the store has been redesigned to keep customers and employees safe throughout the time they spend at the store. Minute detailing has gone into processes, checks and training of our employees to ensure zero defect in safety standards.
To further encourage safety norms we are integrating our offline and online buying experiences to enable customers to browse, try and buy products from the comfort of their homes or even book appointments to visit our stores.” She further added, “We look forward, with caution, excitement and enthusiasm, to welcoming back our customers to Mia.”
1. Face Covering and Hygiene – All employees will wear masks and gloves to ensure no human contact during purchase. Mia would regularly and frequently sanitize the hands of anyone visiting the store.Mia requests all customers visiting the stores to do the same as well.
2. Sanitised Facilities- Increased measures for regular cleaning and disinfecting stores will be carried out. All jewellery and cash counters, transaction trays etc will be sanitised frequently. All customers will be offered hand sanitizers.
3. Health Monitoring- Mia recognizes its responsibility to protect employees. Mandatory wellness checks before the start of the shift and safety training to all employees is work in progress.
4. Social Distancing- Customers will find visual clues such as floor decals to ensure 4-6 feet separation is maintained and to begin with only one customer will be allowed at a time inside the store.
5. Technology- Mia has launched new technology initiatives on their website such as virtual try on of jewellery and a specially curated gifting page for ease of customer along with live assisted chat.
