Feel the flavour of authentic Bengali culture in United Kingdom

Fashion and Bengali tradition have a special connection. Myosutra, a thread that weaves the mystic wonder of feminity helps the people of United Kingdom to get the flavour of authentic Bengali culture. Roshni Mukherjee who was born into a middle-class family in Kolkata started this venture in the year of 2017.

Myosutra was formed with the belief that the richness of Indian textiles and weaving traditions deserve a place of pride in the world map. It was born out of the love for Indian craftsmanship. It was driven with the dream to present the wonders of Indian textiles and fabrics to the world. Since its inception in 2017, it has been their constant and  tireless pursuit to explore the myriad fascinating textile weaving traditions that originated in India, and present it to the modern Indian Diaspora living abroad. Every design of Myosutra has been crafted with love. Be it sarees, blouses, kurtas, jewelleries and accessories have been deeply rooted to the traditional values that every Indian living abroad cherishes specially during any festivals.

Speaking on the same Roshni Mukherjee, Owner and Founder of Myosutra said“I started my career as a Banker but soon I realized to turn my love and passion for dressing up and fashion into a proper venture and bring Bengal closer to this part of the world which led to the birth of Myosutra.  All I had was passion and a relentless steady support from my father, Mr Shyamal Paul Chowdhury, a retired banker to make the dream successful”.

Myosutra has been blessed to receive many accolades and honour and this pushes Roshni to outdo herself. As Myosutra turns 2, she believes that she has a deep sense of gratitude for everyone who has put their faith in her and her little endeavor to bring Bengal closer to the world. Myosutra delivered more than 4000 shipments in the last one year in different parts of the world and truly brought the streets of Gariahat and New Market at the doorstep. Myosutra has also allowed reaching out to those countless gifted artisans from the remote areas of Bengal who have been upholding the culture and heritage for generations.
