Implemented under the CSR initiative of Genius Foundation, the CSR wing of Genius HRTech Limited (formerly Genius Consultants Limited), the programme focused on enhancing technical skills, entrepreneurial capabilities, and access to organized markets for traditional hand embroidery artisans. A key outcome was the creation of sustainable market linkages between artisans from Kashmir and local markets in West Bengal, while also integrating regional artisans and suppliers into a broader value chain.

The ceremony was attended by Mr. R P Yadav, Chairman & Managing Director, Genius HRTech Ltd., as Chief Guest, and Smt. Shaon Sen, Additional Secretary, Department of Labour, Government of West Bengal, as Guest of Honour. Addressing the gathering, Mr. Yadav emphasized that impactful CSR must go beyond training to enable long-term livelihood sustainability through entrepreneurship and assured market access. Smt. Sen highlighted the role of skill development and market linkage in strengthening MSME ecosystems and fostering inclusive economic growth across the state.

Mr. Abhijit Chatterjee, Chairman, Ascensive Group of Companies, underscored the importance of building holistic livelihood ecosystems supported by mentoring, entrepreneurship orientation, and structured market connectivity to ensure lasting impact while preserving traditional craftsmanship.

The event featured a project film, a virtual certificate distribution ceremony, and interaction with beneficiary artisans, who shared testimonies of enhanced skills, improved income prospects, and renewed confidence.

The initiative emerged as a strong example of how collaborative CSR interventions can empower artisans, strengthen MSMEs, and contribute to sustainable grassroots economic development.
