Lok Sabha elections slipping out of BJP’s hands, many BJP leaders running away from a contest before the elections and some are refusing to contest

Ambar Bhattacharya, Takmaa News, Kolkata, 3rd Mar 2024 : On one hand, Lok Sabha elections are round the corner, and on the other hand, BJP is facing big setbacks one after the other. After BJP MPs Gautam Gambhir and Jayant Sinha ran away from the election field, now Bhojpuri star Pawan Singh has also refused to contest the Lok Sabha elections despite getting the BJP ticket. Not only this, former Deputy Chief Minister of Gujarat Nitin Patel has withdrawn his candidature from Mehsana seat. Even Bhojpuri singer Pawan Singh was the declared candidate of BJP from Asansol in West Bengal but after the list got public he did not agree to be the candidate.

BJP’s condition is quite bad, Imagine that even after delimitation in Assam, the party released its list of candidates on old seats as before. After harsh criticism, a new list has now been brought out.

👉 While political pundits are shocked over the announced Lok Sabha tickets, some people also say the list is a clear proof of Modi and Shah’s weakening hold on BJP. A lot of reaction is being seen on the selection of BJP candidates both in media and social media.

👉 BJP must have not even thought that the Lok Sabha elections which it was claiming to have had in its kitty in January, would slip out of its reach by March. Elections are now open and it’s a close contest on most of the seats, with the opposition having the edge in many states.

So where did BJP go wrong?

▶️ This question is making headlines from media to political circles as to where did BJP go wrong?

There can be only two answers to this,

First –

• BJP underestimated the preparations that have been going on for a year by Congress and INDIA alliance;

Second –

• BJP was not really ready for the Lok Sabha elections, it became too complacent.

Media’s impact is limited to TV studios

▶️ The narrative that the media had tried to create in favor of BJP has been limited to only the media rooms even before the announcement of elections. People are well aware of the one sided attitude of media, and so now the BJP and its media have to fight directly with the public.
 
🟣🔵🟢One thing should never be forgotten in politics, anything can happen in a short span of time which can decisively and unexpectedly change electoral results. The entire country knows that the BJP is least bothered about real issues on the ground and is instead floating hot air balloons. BJP will have to pay a heavy price for this. 🟡🟠⚫️
