Meet The 2 Dynamic Interior Designers Behind The Recently Inaugurated Iconic Flipkart’s Largest Fulfilment Center In WB

Debkumar Malkick, Takmaa, Kolkata, 24th Apr 2022 : The dynamic duo entrusted to provide Flipkart with all the modular furniture for their largest fulfilment Center in Haringhata, West Bengal which is spread over 108 acres was designed by Anisha Johri and Ritu Dugal who were recently awarded as Time Power Women East 2022 for their outstanding work in the interior industry.
Speaking about the Flipkart office Mamata Banerjee, the Honorable Chief Minister said, “It is a matter of immense pride that West Bengal will now house one of the largest fulfillment centers in the country. I congratulate the entire team of Flipkart in achieving this feat which will significantly contribute to the economic development of the region.”

Men have been dominating the business world for years, but women have certainly started creating ripples in the entrepreneurial space. In the male-dominated world of the furniture industry, Anisha Johri and Ritu Duggal, founders of Contours Furniture Systems are celebrating their 20th anniversary this year. They are also the founders of Decorage & Associates – Interior Design & Build firm which is celebrating their 25th year this year. They have recently participated in the Bengal Global Trade Expo 2022 and have received an overwhelming response.

These two female entrepreneurs used their interior design firm which specializes in custom or modular furniture to challenge and redefine gender roles and their journey has been a long and arduous one.
To reduce their dependency on other modular manufacturing units, they set up Contours to meet their own site requirements. Located in one of the prime business hubs in Kolkata, the establishment has garnered experience in executing turnkey projects for clients from different segments, both commercial and residential with State-of-the-Art Machinery delivering a variety of designs efficiently. The technology and methods used in the smooth running of the establishment involves the latest imported machine ware, international levels of execution, unmatchable durability, working with ply and cold pressed laminates of one’s choice, striking an eco-friendly balance and assurance after sales.
