Printers’ Association declare 30 per cent price rise
Ambar Bhattacharya, Takmaa, Kolkata, 21st Mar 2022: The West Bengal Master Printers’ Association (WBMPA) today decided to escalate the prices of printing by 25 to 30 per cent keeping in mind the incremental price rise of raw materials.
Over the last one year the prices of raw materials have been rising regularly. All the members of the association joined the meeting. The prices of board, craft, ink and chemicals have been increasing over the last two years. For example: board prices have gone up by 60 per cent and craft by 40 per cent, said WBMPA in a statement.
The statement further added that the association is forced to increase its rates by 25 to 30 per cent as they were finding it difficult to run their business in face of the growing price rise.
West Bengal Master Printers’ Association was born in the year 1936 and is the apex body of the printers in the state.
