APDW, happening for the first time in Kolkata may witness 3500 of Gastroenterologists from across the world

Ambar Bhattacharya, abptakmaa, Kolkata, 3rd Dec 2019 : Asian pacific Digestive Week ‘19(APDW) is the Annual Conference of Asian Pacific Association of Gastroenterology, Asian Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver, Asian Pacific Society of Digestive Endoscopy and International Society for Digestive Surgery- Asian Pacific Section. The 2019 edition is jointly hosted by renowned Indian associations namely Indian Society of Gastroenterology, Society of GI Endoscopy of India and Indian National Association for Study of Liver.

The theme of the conference- “Evidence to Expertise”, has been developed after an immense thought process to provide a wonderful forum to refresh knowledge base and explore the innovations in the specialty.

Speaking on the occasion Dr. Ajay Kumar- President, Indian Society of Gastroenterology, said “APDW is the Annual Conference of Asian Pacific Association of Gastroenterology, Asian Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver, Asian Pacific Society of Digestive Endoscopy and International Society for Digestive Surgery- Asian Pacific Section. The 2019 edition will be jointly hosted by renowned Indian associations namely Indian Society of Gastroenterology, Society of GI Endoscopy of India and Indian National Association for Study of Liver diseases. I am happy to inform that all these three Indian Societies have merged their annual meetings with APDW 2019 to have a comprehensive gastrointestinal congress. This kind of seminar is first of its kind in India.”

The cultural capital of India will be hosting one of the biggest gastroenterologist meeting for the first time in East India.
