International & National Doctors Highlights New Diagnostic Opportunities For Multiple Sclerosis

News Correspondent, abptakmaa, Kolkata, 21st August 2019 : Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a neurological disease characterized initially by several short-lived episodes of blurred vision, weakness of limbs, unsteady gait with remissions in between.  After a few years the individual becomes progressively bedbound and ultimately die. Neuromyelitis Optica spectrum disorders have similar course of illness but in general more aggressive than MS. “Auto-immune Encephalitis” comprise several immune-based inflammatory disorders of brain. All these above neuro-immunological disorders usually affect individuals in 20-45 years age group when they are in their most productive years of life. These are all disabling diseases with ultimate fatality, if left untreated.

The Indian Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis (ICTRIMS), which has been foundedto focus on these increasingly prevalent neuroimmunological disorders in India, is hosting their 5th Annual conference ICTRIMS 2019in Kolkata from 16th-18th August, 2019.Over 300 leading international and national Doctors dealing with Multiple Sclerosis are participating in this 3 – day conference. The world renowned “European Charcot Foundation” has now joined hand with ICTRIMS.
