LG installs Drinking Water ATM’s in Kolkata to beat the scorching summers

Kolkata, June 21, 2019: With an aim to provide safe drinking water at public places, LG electronics, a consumer durable major in India installed LG water purifier kiosks at five different multi brand outlets in Kolkata city. The Kiosks, also known as water ATMs, will benefit the people of Kolkata to a large extent by providing pure filtered drinking water absolutely free of cost every day. Present at the inauguration to unveil the Water ATM’s were Ms. Susmita Dam, Councilor Ward No 100 of KMCalong with Mr. Ajay Sharma, Regional Business Head- East, LG Electronics India.

With onset of the seasonal monsoons every year, many water-borne diseases like Diarrhea, Cholera, Dengue affect people of all age groups. This is where the importance of water purifiers come to play. This month-long initiative will allow the people of Kolkata to have access to clean drinking water thus preventing them from many epidemic diseases.
