K V COMMAND HOSPITAL School Crowned KBD Jr Champion for Season 3 in Kolkata
Ambar Bhattacharya, abptakmaa, Kolkata, 16th Sept 2019 : Showcasing passion and intensity for the sport, KBD Juniors Season 3 city finals in Kolkata saw the toughest team – K V Command Hospital School emerge victorious 22 – 21 against Birla High School. Abhibandan Mondal was the Top Raider with 7 Raid pointsand Divyanshu Goswami was the Top Defender with 3 tackle points.
The young guns of Kabaddi entertained the crowd with their impressive skills and fighting spirit. In a brilliantly orchestrated game, the students from K V Command Hospital School demonstrated skill and strength on the mat showcasing the toughness of the sport which led them to a 1 – point victory. Prior to the city finals, the two semi-final matches witnessed K V Command Hospital School prove their mettle against Shree Jain Vidyal and Birla High School winning against DPS Megacity.
Captain and star raider of Bengal Warriors, Maninder Singh said, “Nowadays, kids are so talented, and it feels great to see them put in so much hard work and enthusiasm in whatever they do. KBD Juniors is a great platform for these kids to come, show their skills and aspire to take up the sport at the professional level. All the participating schools played really well, and I wish each one of them all the best for all their future endeavours in Kabaddi.”
Winning coach, Jitendara Shaw of K V Command School said, “As a coach, it’s a proud moment for me to see my team win the KBD Juniors season 3, Kolkata leg. These kids have worked very hard and I’m glad that it has paid well. I would also want to thank Star Sports and Mashal Sports Pvt Ltd for organising this great platform and wonderful initiative.”
The schools in fray for the coveted title of Kolkata city champions included Pailan World School, K V Command Hospital School, Shree Jain Vidyalaya, Army Public School, South City International School, Birla High School, M C Kejriwal Vidyapeeth and DPS Megacity.
