Magic, smiles and health tips light up Children’s Day celebration at Manipal Mukundapur

Doctors from the Paediatric Department joined the visiting children along with their parents to make the day memorable.

The celebration featured engaging activities such as a fashion show, magic show, tattoo art, a photo booth, and a cheerful cake-cutting ceremony. Children also enjoyed interactive health sessions with paediatricians, who shared practical and easy-to-follow tips in a friendly atmosphere. Special gifts were handed out to all participants, adding to the festive spirit. During the interactive sessions, doctors highlighted essential topics including managing seasonal infections, balanced nutrition, early symptom recognition, hygiene practices, and the importance of timely vaccinations. Emotional well-being was also emphasised, with experts urging parents to maintain open communication and ensure a healthy balance between academics and play.

As the winter season approach, during the programme, Dr. Sayantan Bhowmick, Associate Consultant – Paediatric Pulmonology, Manipal Hospital, Mukundapur, added, “Seasonal illnesses like colds and flu become increasingly common. Simple habits such as hydration, proper rest, good nutrition, and regular hand hygiene can significantly reduce risks. Parents should stay alert to early symptoms, as prompt medical attention can help children recover faster and stay healthy through the season.”
