‘30-er Jalsa’ Dazzles Kolkata with Three Decades of Dance Excellence

Drawing a diverse audience of dance enthusiasts, cultural connoisseurs, and city residents, the event reaffirmed Kolkata’s standing as a hub for performing arts.

Marking a significant milestone, ‘30-er Jalsa’ was conceived as a grand tribute to three decades of dedication, creativity, and disciplined pursuit of dance. The evening showcased an electrifying mix of classical, contemporary, and fusion performances, each crafted to offer audiences a visually and emotionally immersive experience.

Star Performances Highlight the Evening:
• Sritama Bhattacharjee mesmerized the crowd with her intricate classical choreography, blending traditional motifs with innovative interpretations that reflected the depth of Indian classical dance.
• Debleena Dutta brought contemporary flair to the stage, delivering a powerful performance that merged expressive storytelling with dynamic movement, leaving the audience spellbound.
• Gitasree Roy captivated spectators with a fusion act that seamlessly combined folk elements with modern rhythms, highlighting the diversity and versatility of dance forms represented in the concert.

The evening also featured ensemble performances by NCDC’s talented students and professionals, with elaborate costumes, synchronized formations, and vibrant lighting enhancing the visual spectacle.
