33rd stipend distribution ceremony by Paschim Bangiya Marwari Sammelan Shikha Kosh
Ambar Bhattacharya, abptakmaa, Kolkata, 23rd July 2019 : The 33rd stipend distribution held in a memorable function on 19th July 2019 at the Kalamandir, Kolkata, Hon’ble Keshri Nath Trpathi, The Governor of WB inaugurated the function and distributed stipend to the students. There were around 1000 students from 85 schools who got benefited.
The ceremony was attended by Brahmanand Agarwal, Director of Shikhakosha, Subrata Mukherjee (Minister-in-Charge Panchayat and Rural Development), Shobhandeb Chattopadhyay (Minister-in-Charge, Power and Non- Conventional Energy) ,Vivek Gupta (Editor in Chief Sanmarg and Former Member of Parliament). This was the last occasion that the Governor attended before retiring as the Governor of West Bengal.
Pashchim Bangiya Marwari Sammelan Shikhakosh since its inception in 1955 is deeply associated with activities beneficial for the mass. It provides stipend, dresses, syllabus books, school bags etc. to the needy students of any castes and creed. The stipend is given by account payee cheque favoring their school name.
