Film Festival hosted by the Army for the first time on war movies in Kolkata
Ambar Bhattacharya, Takmaa, Kolkata, 22nd Sept 2021 : BIJOYA Sanskritik Mahotsav is beingorganized by HQ Eastern Command from 26 to 29 September 2021 at Rabindra Sadan and Nandan Convention Centre, Kolkata, to commemorate 50 glorious years of 1971 Indo-Pak War of liberation of Bangladesh. Eastern Command was at the centre stage of the historical battle and in the series of celebrations of “Swarnim Vijay Varsh” “BIJOYA Sanskritik Mahotsav” is a cultural event to highlight the tales of valor of the Indian Army and Mukti Jodhas in 1971 war of liberation through the medium of films, theatre play and musical concert.
Lt GenManoj Pande, AVSM,VSM GOC-in-C Eastern Command will inaugurate “BIJOYA Sanskritik Mahotsav” at Rabindra Sadan, Kolkata on 26 Sep 2021 in the presence of Veer Naaris, War veterans and prominent media, entertainment personalities and people of Kolkata.
The Mahotsav will feature a Fusion band display (an amalgamation of Army Pipe, Brass and Jazz Band). Renowned Bengali play back singers will mesmerize with their melodious music and a theatre play on 1971 Indo-Pak War will be performed by RSR Group. Attendees will also have an opportunity to witness display of vintage vehicle and equipment of Eastern Command, and a guided tour of Fort William.

26th Sept : Inauguration Ceremony at Rabindra Sadan by Lt Gen Manoj Pandey with Army Fusion Display. Theatre Play Ikhataar Ki Ladai- Ek Vijay Gatha by RSR Theatre Group. Felicitation of war veteran. Display of vintage vehicle and equipment.
