Rakshak Foundation’s path breaking green initiative with the Government to stop use of plastic at Ganga Sagar 2020
News Correspondent, abptakmaa, Kolkata, 12th Jan 2020 : Rakshak Foundation’s path breaking green initiative with Government of West Bengal @ Ganga Sagar 2020, expected footfall of 4.5- 5L.Targeting to prepareMore than 50k bio degradable bags by the prison artisans at Dum Dum Central Correctional Home and Presidency Correctional Home for Ganga Sagar 2020.
Rakshak Foundation is privileged to associate with Government of West Bengal, targeting to make approx 50 K biodegradable bags, by the Artisans in confinement as alternative to plastic and use Eco friendly biodegradable bags made out of Cotton , gamcha and Jute at the Ganga Sagar 2020.
The ‘tholi bags’ are prepared largely by the inmates, who are being trained by the Rakshak Foundation in association with National Jute Board in Dum Dum Central Correctional Home and Presidency Correctional Home in West Bengal.
The Artisans of the Correctional Homes are excited, both about their modest contribution and the opportunity to associate with the Eco friendly social cause.
Volunteers from Rakshak Foundation will be joined by representatives from reputed institutions/ organisations to spread awareness. Publicity : Launcherz.
