Sriram Keshrimal has been appointed as one of the four distributor of TMT bar of SAI Ltd for the districts of Howrah, Hooghly, East and West Midnapore
Desk Correspondent, abptakmaa, Kolkata, 28th June 2019: Sriram Keshrimal has been appointed as one of the four distributor of TMT bar of Steel Authority of India Ltd for the districts of Howrah, Hooghly, East and West Midnapore.
Sriram Keshrimal is engaged in the business of iron and steel trading since 1964.
“Now we have been appointed as distributor of TMT bar of Steel Authority of India Ltd. for the districts of Howrah, Hooghly, East and West Midnapore. This 2 tier distribution policy has been started recently by SAIL whereby we have been appointed as one of the four distributors for the whole of West Bengal,” said S K Khetawat, Partner, Sriram Keshrimal.
Earlier, SAIL used to appoint dealers and dealers used to purchase materials directly from them. In the 2 tier distribution system, we have been empowered to appoint dealers directly and the dealers can only purchase material from us and not from SAIL directly. This 2 tier distribution network is meant to promote retail sales in which SAIL was not successful till now.
“Presently, only TMT Bars are covered in the 2 tier distribution system. This system will result in distribution of around 2000-2500 tons every month which comes to around Rs10 to 13 cr monthly and around Rs150 crores annually which will be a significant jump from what SAIL sold before this system was in place,” said SK Khetawat.
