96th Foundation Day of CAB celebrated 44th Frank Worrell Day blood donation
Ambar Bhattacharya, Takmaa News, Kolkata, 3Rd Feb 2024 : On the occasion of the 96th Foundation Day, CAB President Snehasish Ganguly hoisted the association colours in presence CAB Vice President Amalendu Biswas, CAB Hony Secretary Naresh Ojha,
CAB Hony Joint Secretary Debrabrata Das, CAB Hony Treasure Prabir Chakraborty, Indian legendary women’s cricketer Jhulan Goswami, former Bengal head coach Arun Lal and a host of other dignitaries.
It was followed by Mr Ganguly garlanding the bust of Dr B C Roy to pay his respect on the occasion of the Foundation Day. Along with Mr Ganguly, CAB office bearers, Tournament Committee Chairman Nitish Ranjan Dutta,
Medical Committee Chairman Pradip Kr Dey, Tour, Fixture and Technical Committee Chairman Suvankar Ghosh Dastidar, Stadium Committee Chairman Santanu Mitra, Observer and Scorers Committee Chairman Srimanta Kumar Mallick, Players benevolent and benefit fund Committee Chairman Danish Seth and former CAB President and current IPL Governing Council member Avishek Dalmiya also paid their respects.
India veteran batsman Ajinkya Rahane, who is at the Eden Gardens along with the Mumbai Ranji Trophy team, also paid his respect by garlanding the bust of Dr B C Roy.
Alongside the Foundation Day, Frank Worrell Day was also celebrated with due importance with people lining up to donate blood. Till last 549 donated blood today. Mr Ganguly, Rahane, Mr Dalmiya and other officials met the donors and wished them well.
