The Holiday Season gets kicked off with a traditional cake-mixing ceremony at IBIS Kolkata

With regard to the flavor and ingredient richness of the Christmas cake, ibis Kolkata has been celebrating the cake-mixing ritual annually while upholding the same standards. The ceremony was graced in the esteemed presence of Actress Sayantani Guhathakurta, Model Madhubilata Mitra, Designer Indroneel Mukherjee and Masterchef Priyanka M.

The custom of mixing cakes used to mark the beginning of harvest season. A lot of fruits and nuts were collected in the past in order to make the customary Christmas fruitcake. They would save the mixture of ingredients until the next year, hoping it would bring them good fortune once more.
